Narrow aisle forklifts
Narrow aisle forklifts are usually utilized in warehousing operations. These types of forklifts are essential equipments within the business because their excellent maneuverability and small size allow warehouses to maximize storing space. They could easily pass aisles which are 1.8 meters wide, while standard lift trucks need at least 3.4 meters of aisle width.
The two types are "narrow aisle forklift" and the "very narrow aisle forklift". The first require 2.4 meters - 3 meters in aisle width, whilst the second can function in a 1.8 meters wide space.
The narrow aisle forklift design consists of forks positioned at right angles to the body of the truck. The trucks do not have to face the shelves, but instead drive straight down the aisle picking up loads to the side. This design feature is the key to their suitability for tight spaces.
To be able to make certain that the forklift is moving in a straight line down the aisle, several very narrow aisle forklifts comprise wire or optical systems. That way, the operator can concentrate more on the placement and the picking of loads.
These lifts are outfitted with cushion tires made from solid rubber. The hard tires perform well on paved, smooth surfaces and concrete floors. Narrow aisle forklifts have electric motors which is best utilized within indoor places. Propane-powered models are available also.
